Verifying your Process Models
What is verification?
You are free to contribute descriptions of any process models that you have developed as long as they use one of the internationally recognised and standardised modelling notations promoted here. However, we would like to offer to the NHS examples of process models that are of the highest quality and that conform fully to these notations.
To do so, we are offering contributors the opportunity to have their model checked by an expert for conformance with the notation’s standards. This is an entirely free service.
You will be informed of any aspects of your model that do not conform to the standard and offered advice on how it might be corrected. However, verification will not check the validity of the process that the model describes, that is whether the process itself is ‘correct’.
The verification process requires 7 working days’ turnaround.
This verification will benefit your own project since you will have greater confidence that your model meets the standard. It is also an opportunity to check your own understanding of the process.
Currently verification applies to process models created using: Scenario Generator, Simul8, Microsoft Visio and eventually also, Riva.
The third party partners offering the verification process are:
