Learning Paths

Learning Paths

Learning paths are designed to help you navigate through the training and other resources that are available for Microsoft products and solutions.

Virtualisation is on everybody's mind. And with good reason. It's a critical concept with wide-reaching implications. The idea that you can make pools of dynamic resources with unlimited capacity available to users anywhere at anytime is extraordinary. At Microsoft, virtualisation is a means to enabling our long-standing vision of Dynamic IT, where people and computers get the resources they need the moment they need them. Below shows the representation of our Virtualisation approach.

Microsoft Virtualisation

Microsoft is committed to driving the adoption of virtualisation. Since virtualisation can have a profound impact on your entire operations, from the data centre to the desktop, we believe it should be embraced as part of an enterprise-wide infrastructure strategy.

Microsoft Virtualisation Introduction and Overview

Before you embark on the learning path appropriate to you we recommend everyone reviews the overview video which describes the Microsoft Virtualisation Strategy - this will help piece together all the topics above. There are two videos for you to pick from, a high level overview (12 mins) and a more detailed review (35 mins). We also have a Partner Virtualisation Briefing Event. on 26th June at Microsoft Campus, Reading.

As a partner you can also join our Virtual Network on Virtualisation where you can network with Microsoft and a community of other partners.

Now you have a good understanding of the strategy - you can determine the areas you want to learn more about. There are 6 main topics to become fully adverse with the Virtualisation Platform. You can learn each topic independently.
