Scott Dodds Appointed General Manager of Small to Medium Business and Partner Division of Microsoft UK

ReadingUK – 6 November 2006 - Microsoft today announced the appointment of Scott Dodds as general manager of the SMS&P (Small and Medium Solutions and Partners) division. Scott will move from his current role as senior director of OEM, UK, effective 1 January 2007 and will replace Natalie Ayres, who will be leaving Microsoft at the end of the year to pursue other interests. Scott and Natalie will work together on the transition between now and year end.

Scott has a proven track record in forging meaningful and rewarding relationships with both customers and partners and I am confident that he is the right leader to drive further success for Microsoft in the SME and partner space.”

Scott has run the company’s Northern European OEM division since joining Microsoft three years ago in November 2003. He has made a strong impact both internally and externally, utilising his skills and experience to increase customer satisfaction levels in a challenging environment.

Scott Dodds has 20 years broad experience in engineering, sales and management. Scott joined Microsoft from Acer, where he was managing director of Acer UK & Ireland and on the European Management team for Acer EMEA. Prior to this, Scott was with Compaq UK for seven years in various management roles – latterly as general manager of UK Channels, responsible for all of Compaq’s direct and indirect partner teams.
