On 30 September, Microsoft hosted the 2nd Annual Public Sector Information Governance and Security Conference, held in association with the Cabinet Office Information Security and Assurance (IS&A).
At the conference, Owen Pengelly, Head of Information Security and Assurance, Cabinet Office, provided an update on the NIAS and the latest developments in the Government's cyber-security strategy. Other public sector speakers included Dr. Jane Jensen, Deputy Head of Identity and Privilege Management, MOD and Rod Matthews, Director of Transformation, DWP.
Microsoft professionals gave fascinating insights into how we secure our own network and how security is built into the core of our products throughout the development process. Attendees learned how we are enabling the public sector to use mobile and flexible working to deliver secure, efficient frontline services, and experienced the latest security advances in Microsoft technologies.
