A blog is, very simply, a website with regularly published content that a visitor can publicly state their opinion on (conventional websites, such as this one, do not allow this) by submitting their comment online. To date, there are approximately 71 million such sites in the world..

Blog content can by written by a single person or several, and is typically opinionated and unvetted. What you read is therefore the authentic voice of an author, and responding to a published article is akin to forming or joining a conversation.
