Home business owners can work with friends and family
Wed, 02 Sep 2009
Home business owners have the option of enlisting friends and family to help them build up their enterprise, it has been reported.
According to author and small business advisor Cesar Campos, there is a greater chance the business owners will get along with their colleagues if they have grown up with them and know them well.
Decision making can benefit from close business relationships, especially when it is necessary to work out growth strategies, he suggested.
"Having a friend or family member close by allows you to take advantage of an instant network," Mr Campos added.
"This can also be very important when you have to get the word out on your products and services and take your marketing machine out for a spin."
Mr Campos said it is necessary to have a degree of patience when working with friends and family, especially when spending large amounts of time together in a business environment, but there can be benefits for those who get the balance right.
Last week, Rachael Ross of Purely Peppermint claimed good time management is essential for any small business owner working from home.
