CartoData Argentina Purchases UltraCamLp

Graz, Austria — Vexcel Imaging GmbH, a Microsoft® company, has signed a purchase agreement with CartoData Argentina of Buenos Aires for an UltraCamLp (UCLp).

“The large footprint of the UltraCamLp, combined with the quality of the data, makes it the right camera for our company,” said Ing. Marcelo Marcovich, President of CartoData. “We look forward to providing this additional capability to our clients."

CartoData Argentina will use the UCLp to serve its existing customers in both the public and private sectors of the economy. In addition, CartoData Argentina will be able to participate in larger regional mapping projects in the area around Buenos Aires.

About the UltraCamLp

The UtraCamLp is the largest-footprint medium-format digital photogrammetric camera on the market. Like its predecessor the UltraCamL, it takes advantage of the computing and storage subsystems introduced with the UltraCamXp. Its data collection at 92 megapixels provides nearly 50% more data than the UltraCamL. The UltraCamLp will be available for flying season 2010 with deliveries beginning in November 2009. Existing UltraCamL customers will be upgraded to the UltraCamLp free of charge.
