Hospital information systems, diagnostic systems and practicing physicians use different data formats. Delays, media incompatibility and redundant treatments, are recurring problems. Based upon the eHealth Interoperability Platform (eHIP) Asklepios, Microsoft and Intel decided to develop the doctors’ portal, which is an electronic platform enabling patient data to be exchanged.
