Major US Bank
A major U.S. bank relies on its server infrastructure 24 hours a day, seven days a week and empowers its IT team with centralized tools and applications to resolve server problems remotely. But connecting to those tools was labor-intensive and time-consuming, slowing IT response. To help simplify remote access, the bank deployed Windows Server 2008 Enterprise with Terminal Services. IT staff can now connect to and launch applications in half the time it used to take, receive an identical interface, and have a consistent experience regardless of location. By implementing Windows Server 2008, the bank streamlined remote access and reduced server downtime. The bank also used Terminal Services to help enhance security by restricting access to key administrative functions.
