I love Umbraco because it just lets me build things the way I want. Plus, with XLST and the great admin system you don't have to be an ASP.NET expert to create something unique.

It's a killer CMS, no doubt about it.

I have to admit, I first started to play with Umbraco about a year ago – I downloaded it, tried to install it... Had all sorts or permission problems, eventually managed to get it installed and I just couldn’t get my head round it! Then bloody XSLT... Delete and leave it alone. A year on, and I WISH I had stopped and taken the time to look more into Umbraco as it really is brilliant. With v4 now out, and the new Umbraco community with TONS of free add-ons all ready to go - Umbraco.tv for easy learning and the new forum with VERY helpful people, you’d be crazy not to jump on the Umbraco band wagon. I have started to mess around with the API, as I still hate XSLT although I can use .NET usercontrols to do the work if I want (Although there are loads of XSLT examples about now, so it’s not as bad as it used to be). Not much else to say really... Just an amazing CMS with so many features its almost too good to be true.

I love umbraco for how quickly I can build a standards-compliant website with exactly the design and functionality my clients need. Awesome community means I'm never alone or without someone to ask if I have a question. Highly recommended.

We have switched totally to using Umbraco for all of our projects. Our developers love it due to its flexibility. Our clients also love it due to the intuitive back office. It also has an awesome community.
