ScrewTurn Wiki 3.0
view application screenshots

ScrewTurn Wiki allows you to create, manage and share wikis. The application is based on ASP.NET 3.5 and it can be extended and customized with many plugins and themes. It can store data using a simple, built-in file-system provider or, if you need performance and scalability, it can use SQL Server too. ScrewTurn Wiki supports page revisions and rollbacks, drafts, attachments, simplified file sharing as well as advanced permissions configuration.

ScrewTurn Wiki is a popular free wiki software, but it is now discontinued and you will no longer receive any updates, patches or support. You should therefore consider importing your data to another popular wiki software, such as Incentive found here on the Web App Gallery as-well. http://www.microsoft.com/web/gallery/incentive.aspx

The editing is really kludgy and non-intuitive. I can't picture anyone taking a Wiki built with this product seriously.

I like the product, but it was announced to be discontinued as of June 5th 2012. Hopefully it gets brought back to life.

Overall A+. These guys did a great job and theres so much you can do as compared to mediawiki. If youre in a Microsoft environment(non-linux), this is the way to go. Lots of addons from Greencicle and the STFormatter team that are worth trying out. I was able to add video (see the forums for my post) with some light HTML and Javascripting right in the editor. (To the one who had issues copying and pasting, its because you used the Visual tab and not the markup tab.) It copy/pastes perfectly. Overall, very much worth it. I wish there were more themes, but we're getting by for now. Thanks STW team!
