Microsoft® WebsiteSpark® gives small Web development and design companies free tools, technologies and resources to build great websites and gives members Windows Azure benefits to design, develop and deploy their sites in the Cloud.

Technology Offering

WebsiteSpark provides access to Microsoft tools for design and development, Windows Azure Cloud Services, and Server Licenses. Once enrolled, you may access the following software and services from Microsoft:

	Windows Azure Windows Azure is an open and flexible platform that enables you to quickly build, deploy and manage applications across a global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters. You can build applications using any language, tool or framework. And you can integrate your public cloud applications with your existing IT environment.
	Visual Studio Professional (3 Developers Licenses) Microsoft Visual Studio is a powerful IDE that ensures quality code throughout the entire application lifecycle, from design to deployment.
	Expression Studio (1 developer license) Expression Web (up to 2 developer licenses) Whether you are creating content for the Web, developing apps for the desktop or phone, encoding live or on demand video, the Expression tools provide the capabilities you need to deliver better results for your clients.
	WebMatrix (2 developer licenses) WebMatrix is a web development tool from Microsoft that includes everything you need for website development. Start from open source web applications, built-in web templates or just start writing code yourself.
	Windows Web Server 2008 R2 (3 developer licenses and 4 production licenses*) Windows Web Server 2008 R2 builds on the successes and strengths of its Windows Server predecessors while delivering valuable new functionality and powerful improvements to the base operating system. *Hosting partners must have a Microsoft Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA) in place. 	SQL Server 2008 Web Edition Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Web Edition delivers an optimal balance of scalability, manageability, and cost for hosted Web sites and applications.
	Technical Support Support and training benefits: 2 professional support incidents & priority support in MSDN forums and other Microsoft online properties.

For Cloud Hosting

Members of WebsiteSpark can use the Cloud benefits by setting up their Windows Azure account. Learn more details about the offer in the FAQ.

For Traditional Hosting

Members of WebsiteSpark are free to choose any hosting solution for their needs. WebsiteSpark provides the opportunity to associate with a Hosting Partner within the program to fulfill any hosting needs. Hosting Partners provide discount packages to WebsiteSpark members who associate with them.

Once you have enrolled in the program, you can select a Hosting Partner at any time from your admin portal.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for WebsiteSpark, you must meet one of the following characteristics at the time of joining:

• Company: A privately held professional service firm whose primary business is providing Web development and design services for its clients and has no more than 10 members, which includes owners and employees (maximum of 25 members for Brazil, China, India, and Japan), or
• Individual: An individual that does not have his/her own company and/or does not work for a web design or development company.

Membership Terms

Eligible Web development and design Companies and/or Individuals can participate in WebsiteSpark for up to 3 years. The members should maintain "Good Standing" through the term of the program.

Good Standing entails...

• Completing and updating profile information. On the first and second anniversary of initial enrollment, members must renew their enrollment (e.g. confirm they haven't gone public and their ownership hasn't changed).
• Compliance with program agreements.
• Deploy web pro website on Windows Azure Cloud or Windows Server by the first anniversary of the Web Pro’s enrollment in the Program.

Note: Companies and Individuals do not have to be members of the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) prior to joining the program, but enrollment in MPN is a feature of Program participation. Companies and Individuals will agree to the terms of the MPN Community Agreement when they accept the WebsiteSpark Agreement.

Membership Fee

There is no cost to join WebsiteSpark or receive its benefits.

Special Offers

Web development and design Companies and Individuals in WebsiteSpark may also be eligible for additional products or services offerings (from Microsoft or others) from time to time during their tenure in the Program. Members enrolled in WebsiteSpark will be notified of Special Offers when they become available as well as the terms and enrollment process to take advantage of them. Special Offers are not part of the WebsiteSpark program benefits, and participation in Special Offers will be governed by the separate terms and conditions for each Special Offer (including licenses, and fees if any).
