WLK 1.1 Service Pack Release Announcement
We are pleased to announce the release of the Windows Logo Kit 1.1 Service Pack (build 1.1.6475.100). This release delivers the new Extensible Authentication Protocol logo program. It does not include any DTM feature changes or additional new tests. While this release may be used to qualify devices and drivers for all current logo programs it is not a required upgrade.

• This release is fully supported by Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) and Winqual for logo submissions on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008.
• Preview tests in this release are supported via the Microsoft Connect website.
Systems without TPM chips fails BitLocker Drive Encryption BIOS Interface Logo Test
A known issue has been found in the WLK 1.1 System test titled “BitLocker Drive Encryption BIOS Interface Logo Test;” It intermittently fails on machines without TPMs. If your platform does not have a TPM and the test fails, Microsoft will manually pass the test after confirming your platform does not have a TPM. Please be sure to include DTM Errata ID 779 in your readme.doc file.
Clarification on Windows Server 2008 Build Number for WHQL Submissions
Vendors may make Windows Server 2008 System submissions to WHQL starting January 21, 2008. The minimum operating system build for Windows Server 2008 that will be accepted for logo testing and submission is build number 6001.17129.080104-1910, available on the Microsoft Connect beta download web site. Later builds are also acceptable. Testing with accepted builds may begin immediately. Version 1.1 of the Windows Logo Kit is required for this testing; please see http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/DevTools/WDK/WDKpkg.mspx.
Windows Vista LogoFest Event Announcement
Time is running out to sign up for the next LogoFest event being held in Munich-Unterhaching, Germany, February 26-28, 2008 at the Holiday Inn. This event is for licensed hardware partners who have signed the Logo License Agreement (LLA) 10.0 or 10.1 with Microsoft and want to earn the Windows Vista Logo by using the WLK 1.1. Additionally, participants will receive the latest logo information and learn how to earn the Windows Server 2008 Logo. Event information: Dates: February 26-28, 2008
