UPDATED CORRECTION: New Windows Logo Program Requirements Effective In 2008

Note: This flash newsletter provides updates to the information published in the newsletter sent on November 7, 2007. The information provided here supersedes all information previously published.

Requirements Effective January 1, 2008
The following Windows Logo Program (WLP) requirements will become effective on January 1, 2008. To see the full details for each requirement, please visit the LogoPoint Web site.

INPUT-0006 - Remote control that supports Media Center functionality complies with the appropriate Windows Remote Control Specification

SYSFUND-0042 - System that ships a tuner that supports Media Center functionality includes remote control that complies with the Windows XP Media Center Edition Remote Control Specification

Requirements Effective June 1, 2008

AUDIO-0006 - Audio solution delivers a premium high-fidelity audio experience
GRAPHICS-0027 - Driver for display adapter is based on the WDDM
GRAPHICS-0020 - Display adapter or chipset complies with Direct3D 10 and DXGI feature sets
GRAPHICS-0025 - Display driver supports the DirectX VA 2.0 Video Decoder DDI
GRAPHICS-0067 - A WDDM driver interacts with the system BIOS using ACPI
PORTABLE-0022 - Media player must comply with Device Fundamentals requirements and all Device Connectivity requirements of all specific technologies utilized to connect to a Windows Vista machine
RECO-0004 - A DPC does not run longer than 100 microseconds
STORAGE-0012 - NVRAM Controller, Separated Cache Solutions meet industry and Microsoft standards
STORAGE-0013 - Optical Drives meet Industry and Microsoft standards
STREAM-0053 - USB streaming video camera complies with USB Video Class specifications
DEVFUND-0027 - Premium level client device drivers or server device drivers must maintain a high Driver Quality Rating (DQR) or the manufacturer must make a fixed driver available to customers within 90 days
SYSFUND-0177 - System with Enhanced Storage Solution must meet requirements
SYSFUND-0040 - Premium level client device drivers or server device drivers must maintain a high Driver Quality Rating (DQR) or the manufacturer must make a fixed driver available to customers within 90 days
SYSFUND-0047 - System includes hardware for at least two capture and render scenarios
SYSFUND-0032 - Systems that ship with a Windows operating system that includes BitLocker Drive Encryption support BitLocker partitioning requirements
SYSFUND-0044 - Premium system includes necessary devices and functionality
SYSFUND-0115 - Server system supports PCI Express natively
