The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), which is a partnership between the National White Collar Crime Center, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), publishes an annual Internet Crime Report. The annual reports indicate: In the last two years, reports of online attacks have increased by 62%. - Based on complaints received by the IC3 Internet Crime Report from 2007-2009. In 2009 the average loss from cyber crime was over $1,500 per incident. - Based on complaints received by the IC3 Internet Crime Report in 2009.
