Netbook PCs keep you connected
on the go
Need to stay in the know when you're on the go? Netbook PCs are small, lightweight PCs that are great for staying connected from anywhere your day may take you. Surf the Web, email, instant message, keep up with your social networking sites, and more from almost anywhere.
Travel easy with a netbook PC
Whether you're commuting, hanging out in a coffee shop, or traveling, you'll pack lighter with a netbook PC.
Ultraportable
When you don't need all the power of your laptop, a lightweight netbook PC might be just the thing to help you keep up with life. Tuck it in your bag and you'll have room left over for books, paperwork, or even your lunch.
Simple and fun
Do basic PC tasks, like email, web browsing, and keeping up with your social network. You won't want to use it for heavy lifting, like working on massive spreadsheets or big jobs, but a netbook PC can be nice to have for simple tasks.
Connected
Get new ways to share, create, and connect with the entertainment and work anywhere features of Windows 7 and Windows Live. Add online tools with a free Windows Live Essentials download and get 25GB of free online storage with Windows Live SkyDrive, sync files on your PCs automatically with Windows Live Sync, and share photos during video chats with Windows Live Messenger1.
Affordable
Pay a bit less. Netbook PCs typically cost less than a laptop. Which makes sense—they don't have the capabilities of a full-sized PC. You'll probably find a netbook PC most valuable as a companion to your full-sized PC.

Choose your netbook PC
At first glance, netbook PCs tend to look a lot alike. For starters, of course, they're all pretty small. And, they all feature comparable processor power and memory. There are, however, some key differences you should watch for.
When you're shopping, pay special attention to the overall size and weight, as well as the keyboard size and feel, touchpad design, and screen resolution. Then, look under the covers to see what size hard drive you'll get, what battery life you should expect, and what software is included.
