The April 2003, Cumulative Update for Internet Explorer (813489) eliminates all previously addressed security vulnerabilities affecting Internet Explorer, as well as additional newly discovered vulnerabilities. This update includes the functionality of all previously released Internet Explorer updates. Download now to help maintain the security of your computer.

This update applies to Internet Explorer with the following operating systems:

1. | Choose the version of Internet Explorer and the operating system that you are using from the links at the top of the page on the right-hand side. Note: To find out what version of Internet Explorer you have, go to the Internet Explorer toolbar, click Help, and then click About Internet Explorer—the version number is shown in the window that appears. |
2. | On the Download Center page that opens, follow the instructions for downloading the update. |
3. | Restart your computer to complete the installation. |
To remove the download, complete the following steps:
1. | On the Start menu, point to Settings and then click Control Panel. (In Windows XP, click Start and then click Control Panel.) |
2. | Double-click Add/Remove Programs. |
3. | In the list of currently installed programs, select Q813489 and then click Remove or Add/Remove. If a dialog box appears, follow the instructions to remove the update. |
4. | Click Yes or OK to confirm that you want to remove the update. |
