Connect and Upload Photos

Here's the step-by-step process

With the Windows Home Server Console, adding photos to your collection is as easy as: click, drag, and drop.

Open your remote access URL

Step 1: Open your remote access URL
Windows Home Server lets you remotely access your files and folders from any location using a web browser, with a free custom URL (e.g., https://example.homeserver.com).

Just type in your URL and login to your Windows Home Server. Then click on the Shared Folders tab and select the folder you'd like to upload photos to.

Drag and drop your photos

Step 2: Drag and drop your photos
Click the upload button, which will open the upload area. You can drag and drop multiple files directly to the upload area, or Browse to select files to select individual files.

When you're done, hit the Upload button and your photos will be sent to your Windows Home Server.

Enjoy your photos

Step 3: Enjoy your photos
When you're done, click on the Close button. This will return you to your folder, where you can view your photos.

Note: When you download photos or files from your Windows Home Server, you can package the files in a self-extracting executable (.exe) or a compressed (.zip) file.
