Windows Media Center

How to take media “to go” on your Windows phone

Take your entertainment to go with a Windows phone. Before you leave home, you can easily sync all your recorded shows, home videos, pictures, music, and experience your media from wherever you may be—as long as the content isn’t DRM protected.

Here’s how to take the show on the road:

  1. Attach your phone to your PC via USB connector cable to get started. Your computer should recognize your phone immediately. The first time you connect, it may need drivers installed.

  2. Open Windows Media Center, go to Tasks, select Sync, select all the media files that you want to copy to your phone, and then click OK.

  3. When the sync completes, you’re done. This may take a while, so plan ahead and be patient. For the best experience, use a phone with Windows phone 6.0 or later.
