Add Windows Live to open up your digital life
Windows Live Photo Gallery is a free upgrade to the Photo Gallery in Windows Vista, which offers features for easier sharing, more detailed editing capabilities, and enhanced effects.
Easy to download and find
When you plug your camera into your computer, the Windows Live Photo Gallery will automatically organize the photos in the camera into events based on time and date, and even rotate them, saving you multiple steps and clicks later on.

It's simple to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer.
You can add custom tags for a set of photos based on the event, making it even easier to find your favorite photos later.

It's easy to find your best photos.
Easier sharing
With just a few clicks, you can share photos on Windows Live Spaces and Flickr. And you can share videos on Windows Live Spaces and Soapbox on MSN Video.

E-mail has always been the easy way to share photos. Now it's fun too.
You can be more creative when you send photos using Windows Live Mail. If you've made Windows Live Mail your default e-mail application, you can create a photo e-mail right from within Windows Live Photo Gallery. Just select some photos in the Windows Live Photo Gallery, click on "e-mail," and the services will create an e-mail message with thumbnails of the pictures right in the mail.
You can personalize every shot using all kinds of cool frames, colorful backgrounds, and more. Before sending the message, you can add captions and text as well as change the style of the thumbnails if you like.
Instead of attaching large files, the e-mail message shows a thumbnail of each photo, while the photos are placed online for recipients to enjoy as a great slide show or to download high resolution copies of the photos they want.
Easy editing
With the Fix option on the menu bar, you can easily do all the basic photo editing tasks you could with Windows Vista. The option also offers improved exposure settings, including shadows/highlight manipulation, image sharpening, and a histogram to help you adjust the whole image in amazing ways.

Enhancing and modifying your pictures is fast and easy.
Sometimes the only way to fit a full scene into a photo is to stand so far back from the subject that everything turns out tiny. Sometimes, you can't squeeze in the full image no matter how far away you stand. In either case, now you can take several photos across a scene and let Windows Live Photo Gallery automatically stitch them together to capture a spectacular panoramic view.

You can put lots of shots together to create a stunning panorama.
