Windows Media Services 9 Series Privacy Statement
Last Updated: April 2003
Microsoft is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy statement applies to Microsoft Windows Media Services 9 Series (Windows Media Services). It does not apply to other online or offline Microsoft Websites, products, or services.
This statement does not address the privacy issues of end users who receive streaming media from a media server running Windows Media Services. Service providers running Windows Media Services on their servers may wish to seek legal advice about creating privacy statements for their end users.
This privacy statement is primarily written for server administrators. Windows Media Services will not ask you (the administrator) to provide any "Personally Identifiable Information" (information that personally identifies you, such as your name, address, and phone number). However, sensitive information such as your logon credentials may be transmitted to the media servers that you remotely manage. None of this information is transmitted to Microsoft.
We may occasionally update this privacy statement. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of the privacy statement. Your continued use of Windows Media Services constitutes your agreement to this privacy statement and any updates.
Microsoft welcomes your comments regarding this privacy statement. If you believe that Microsoft has not adhered to this statement, please contact us by e-mail or postal mail, and we will use commercially reasonable efforts to promptly determine and remedy the problem.
