Synchronize Video to Your Portable Media Center

February 2005

This article and the accompanying video describe how you can synchronize music and pictures that are in the Library feature of Windows Media Player 10 to your Windows Mobile-based Portable Media Center. The article assumes that you have already set up automatic synchronization (auto sync). If you have not yet done so, you can follow the instructions in the article Get Started with Synchronizing Your Portable Media Center.

For information about the file types that the Player can synchronize to your Portable Media Center, see the Windows Mobile-based Portable Media Centers FAQ Web page.

To check that music and pictures will synchronize
  1. In Windows Media Player, click Library.
  2. In the Contents pane, right-click your Portable Media Center, and then click Change Sync Settings.
  3. In the Synchronization Settings dialog box, verify that the check boxes for the All Music playlist and All Pictures playlists are selected.
The next time you connect your Portable Media Center to your computer, the music and pictures in your library will be synchronized. As you add and remove files from your library, your Portable Media Center will be updated the next time you synchronize.
