Coral Reef Adventure DVD-ROM FAQ

Q: What configuration do I need to play a WMV HD DVD-ROM on my computer?
A: The Coral Reef Adventure DVD-ROM in WMV HD includes two complete versions of the feature and trailers. One version is in 1080p format and the other is in 720p format. There are different requirements to play each format of the movie on your computer. Your experience might vary depending on other system components and programs that are installed on your computer. Windows Media Player 9 Series is required to view the DVD-ROM and is included on the DVD-ROM for easy installation.

The minimum configuration applies to the 720p version, and the optimum configuration is for playing the 1080p version of the movie with 5.1 surround sound. For either configuration, an AGP4x-based NVIDIA or ATI video adapter card with the most recent OEM driver updates is also recommended.

  • Q: After I have determined that I have met the system requirements, do I have to adjust any settings on my computer?
A: No. You don't have to adjust any settings on your computer; however, we highly recommend that you quit all open programs when playing the Coral Reef Adventure WMV HD DVD-ROM. For example, software DVD players that are installed on the computer might directly interfere with proper disc operation by playing the content on the disc that is intended to be shown on consumer DVD players. You should quit any software DVD players before inserting the WMV HD DVD-ROM.

Some security and virus protection programs might also interfere with the playback of the WMV HD DVD-ROM. These programs could cause warning messages to display when certain features on the disc are accessed or might even prevent the disc from operating properly. Please consult your virus protection software documentation for instructions about properly allowing the disc to operate.

If you have multiple monitors, play the DVD-ROM on the primary monitor for the best results.

Q: How is the content on the Coral Reef Adventure WMV HD DVD-ROM protected from copying and distribution?
A: The audio and video content on the disc is secured by using Windows Media digital rights management (DRM) technology. However, you don't need an Internet connection to unlock and view the content, because it is handled locally on the disc. The original copy of the DVD-ROM must simply be in the DVD drive of the computer for the disc to work successfully. If you encounter a message that says your computer is attempting to connect to the Internet, you have either selected a link to the Web on the DVD, or you need to reinsert the original DVD into the drive and restart it.

Q: Where can I find more WMV HD DVD-ROMs?
A: For a list of available and soon to be released WMV HD DVD-ROMs, go to the WMV HD Web site.
