The Energy Bliss Visualization FAQ Learn tips for displaying your music's album art and track information in the Energy Bliss visualization for Windows Media Player 10.
Answers refer to Windows Media 9 Series software, unless otherwise noted.
1. How do I display album art in Energy Bliss? You can turn the album art feature either on or off by clicking in the Video and Visualization pane of the Now Playing feature. If you turn the album art off, you can still access it by moving the pointer over the upper-left area of the Video and Visualization pane.
Note that not all album art can be displayed in the Energy Bliss visualization. For example, album art that you have manually added to a file by using the Advanced Tag Editor will not appear.
2. How can I get album art that I created, instead of the generic CD case, to show up in Energy Bliss?Currently, Energy Bliss only displays album art that the Player downloads from the Web. To obtain album art and other media information, the Player sends the CD or DVD identifier to a database operated by your default online store. The online store then sends the information back to your computer, where the information is stored.
So, if you have album art that you have manually added to a file by using the Advanced Tag Editor, it will not appear.
3. How can I get Energy Bliss to display properly? This particular visualization requires a powerful graphics adapter (video card). If you keep getting a black screen or a dark sky when you are in full mode or full-screen mode, check to be sure your computer system meets the following minimum system requirements: For a list of additional system requirements, see the Windows Media Player 10 Readme.
If your system does meet the minimum requirements, try switching to a lower screen resolution or checking the following settings for your graphics adapter:Click Start, click Run, type dxdiag, and then click OK. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool dialog box, click the Display tab. In DirectX Features, make sure the DirectDraw Acceleration and Direct 3D Acceleration features are enabled. If these features are not enabled, click Enable, restart Windows Media Player, and then try using Energy Bliss again. – or – If these features are already enabled, in Notes, check to see if there are any issues listed. Your driver might need to be updated. If so, you can check to see whether there are any updates available by scanning for updates on the Windows Update Web site. You can also check for updates on your computer or driver manufacturer Web sites.
If these solutions don’t work, you might need to install a more powerful graphics adapter.
4. Energy Bliss runs fine when the screen size is small but when I enlarge it, it slows down and jerks. What can I do to fix this? The equalizer (EQ) in Energy Bliss requires a lot of processor usage because it's updated often to follow along with the music. To improve Energy Bliss performance, try closing other programs that might be running, reduce the size of the Player, or minimize the Player to the task bar.
For a list of system requirements, see the previous question. To check your CPU speed, click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
