Windows Media Player Error Message Help

You've encountered error message C00D0FA2 while using Windows Media Player. The following information might help you troubleshoot the issue.

Cannot detect device

Windows Media Player cannot detect a portable device. You might encounter this error message for one of the following reasons:

  • You are trying to synchronize a file to a portable device, but the device is no longer attached to your computer. Try reattaching the device to your computer.

  • You are trying to synchronize a file to a portable device, but the device is not turned on. Try turning on the device.

  • You are trying to synchronize a file to a portable device, but the device is not responding. Verify that the device is operational. If necessary, see the device documentation for information about how to reset the device (for example, some devices can be reset by pressing one or more buttons on the device).
