Windows Media Player Error Message Help
You've encountered error message C00D1163 while using Windows Media Player. The following information might help you troubleshoot the issue.
Cannot play the DVD
Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. In some cases, you can resolve the problem by updating the device driver for your video card. To determine if a more recent driver is available for your video card, do one of the following:

See Windows Update. Click Custom, and then in the section Select by Type, install any video card driver updates found under Hardware, Optional.

Visit your computer or video card manufacturer's Web site.

To play DVDs, you must have a DVD-ROM drive and a software or hardware DVD decoder installed on your computer. If you do not have a compatible DVD decoder installed, DVD-related commands, options, and controls do not appear in the Player and you cannot play DVDs.
