Training Center near Munich/Germany, HILF!GmbH offers Windows CE trainings such as Windows Embedded CE System Programming on January 20, 2009. This 4-day course is for software designers and developers implementing system programs and communication interfaces on an existing platform. Furthermore, HILF!GmbH also offers a Windows Embedded CE System Generation and Drivers course on January 16, 2009. This 5-day course is the perfect preparation for the MCTS exam 70-571 and is for system designers as well as developers who want to generate their own optimized Windows Embedded CE system kernel.

Eurotech Inc. wins major orders with long-time customers Johnson Controls and GPS Industries for industrial control and global positioning applications. With orders of 2.2 million dollars for GPS Industries and an undisclosed amount for Johnson Controls, Eurotech continues to win accounts with its focus on low-power and high-performance embedded solutions.

Building on momentum in the connected wireless navigation segment, Intrinsyc announced a Soleus license agreement with Hong Kong-based GPS Technologies Company, Ltd. (GPS-E) for a Windows Embedded CE-based connected Personal Navigation Device. This is the first design win for Soleus Transit, which was specifically designed for the fast growing connected wireless navigation product segment.
A manufacturer is using Soleus to develop a Personal Navigation Device for a handheld device supplier, which will market the Windows Embedded CE-based product under its own brand in Europe. The ODM is reusing earlier Soleus engineering work to speed development of the lightweight navigation device with data connectivity but no voice telephony.
On November 6, Intel awarded Eurotech the 2008 Award of Excellence trophy for Growth in the Intel Atom Processor Co-Selling category.
