Micro-Star International Co., Ltd., unveiled a Soleus(TM) -based consumer handset that features personal navigation and Mobile Digital TV (MDTV) capabilities. The Windows Embedded CE-powered 5608 wireless handset also represents the first commercially available consumer product based on Intrinsyc’s Soleus software platform to be launched in 2008.
Ardence, a Citrix company, announces the latest release of RTX 8.1, the real-time extension for Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. RTX now features shared MP support for Windows Vista, as well as Message signal Interrupt (MSI/MSI-X) capabilities, along with numerous RT-TCP/IP enhancements.
Samsung Semiconductor, a tier-one silicon supplier, has signed a licensing agreement for the Soleus software platform for Windows Embedded CE handsets. Samsung will bundle Soleus with an application processor as part of an integrated hardware and software platform for its ODM and OEM customers.

Complete Reference BSP for any design based on NXP LH7A404 
Adeneo has just released the official CE 6.0 BSP for NXP LH7A404. Fully available in source code, this BSP is fully compliant with the Standard Development Board for the LH7A404 and can be used as a reference for any CE 6.0 design using this architecture. After the CE 6.0 BSP for NXP LPC3180 processor, Adeneo confirms with this release his strong collaboration with NXP on Windows Embedded CE technologies.
Atmel® Corporation and Adeneo announced a Microsoft® Windows® Embedded CE 6.0 Board Support Package (BSP) for Atmel’s AT91CAP9A-STK® Starter Kit and AT91CAP9A-DK Development Kit. This BSP facilitates the development of CE-based applications on Atmel’s AT91CAP9 customizable microcontroller, built around the industry-standard ARM926EJ-S processor. The BSP consists of a fully supported CE 6.0 kernel ported onto the AT91CAP9 architecture, with drivers for all the CAP(TM) peripherals and external interfaces. Drivers for the additional functional modules implemented in the CAP Metal Programmable (MP) Block can be seamlessly integrated.
tvCompass will include the WinWAP browser in their Digital Media Remote (DMR) products for enhanced browsing capabilities and content access. The combination of the WinWAP browser and the click365 platform lets users browse mobile and Internet websites for information lookup, access to sports, news and information.
Kontron expands its portfolio of long-lifecycle single board computers with the launch of three fanless CPU boards equipped with the energy-saving, cost-efficient 600 MHz Intel® Pentium® M processor, 512KB L2 cache and 852GM chipset. All three boards support Windows XP, 2000, XPe and CE.

The new version provides additional security enhancements and extends CodeArmor’s ability to automatically protect software applications without modifying their source code.
Kontron introduces the extremely compact and COM Express compliant ETXexpress miniBaseboard with a footprint of merely 170 mm x 145mm. For applications designed to run on COM Express compliant designs, the Kontron ETXexpress miniBaseboard serves as a universal platform for rapid software validation.
Dynavisions Schweiz AG, leading manufacturer of set top boxes announces its new SOLO HD 200 IPTV as the first devices of its kind, which gives direct access to online media-libraries. The innovative user interface in its distinctive design allows the user to choose quickly and direct from the manifold online content.
New utility provides a graphical interface to Device Update Agent’s (DUA) registry settings. Administrators can change polling days, times, and intervals as well as update file paths. The utility also offers the ability to manually control the DUA service.
The EDKplus supports a fully populated iPac-9302, which includes the second serial port and battery backed real-time clock. The second serial port supports RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485. Like the original EDK, the kit contains a step-by-step instruction manual to guide engineers, hobbyists, and students through the process of developing .NET Micro Framework applications with managed code.
The RUBY-9717VGAR is an industrial uATX motherboard based on Intel Q965 chipset and supports all Intel mainstream desktop processors including Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad, Pentium D, Pentium 4 and Celeron D. With RUBY-9717VGAR, customers can take advantage of greater computing power while with lower power consumption.

PhatWare Corporation announces the release of a Software Developer's Kit (SDK) for its PhatUpdate application. PhatUpdate, which is built into the most recent versions of PhatWare's PhatPad, PhatNotes, and CalliGrapher applications for Windows Mobile devices, allows users to check for and download latest software updates. The SDK enables developers of mobile software applications to add this feature to their own software products and includes a royalty-free license to redistribute PhatUpdate application with developer's products.
