The Windows Embedded Training Program provides professional developers with advanced, hands-on training on Windows Embedded Technologies, including Windows Embedded CE and Windows Embedded Standard.

* Windows Embedded Training Partners must first meet the Windows Embedded Partner Program (WEPP) requirements. Silver and gold level status is also dependent on meeting the overall requirements of the partner program. Learn more about WEPP.

Windows Embedded Training Partner Program Requirements

Adding “Training” to your current Windows Embedded Partner status

Overall Requirements for joining
  • Enroll in the Windows Embedded Partner Program.
  • Complete the Windows Embedded Training Partner application (available to WEPP members on the Windows Embedded Partner Resource Center, or by emailing mswepp@microsoft.com).
  • Instructors must review an online Train The Trainer (TTT) video before their first use of each version of the Windows Embedded courseware.
  • Have a minimum of one MCP certified trainer per Windows Embedded technology you offer training for. Eligible certifications:

(Please note: If a certified instructor leaves your company, his or her replacement must obtain the same certification.)

Ongoing Requirements

In order to maintain your status as a Microsoft Embedded Training Partner, the following ongoing requirements (in addition to those required by the WEPP), must be met.
  • Offer training on the current versions of Windows Embedded platforms.
  • Offer training using embedded-specific boards or hardware, unless a customer requests emulator-based training.
  • Report at least four (4) Windows Embedded Training Courses on a 12 month basis.
  • Submission of complete Microsoft surveys from all students completing your training.
  • Maintain fair satisfaction ratings from students taking your courses.
  • Present Microsoft with course materials on an annual basis for quality assessment, if requested.

Classroom requirements

  • Provide at least one (1) device for every two (2) students.
  • Lead each course with a minimum of one (1) instructor for every 24 students to help ensure quality. Course attendance beyond 24 requires an additional instructor for student assistance.
  • Please note: Training centers are allowed to use their own hardware for hands-on labs and can customize the training materials based on their hardware platform.
