Q: What is Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008?

A: Mobile Device Manager 2008 is a server that provides increased management, access, and security for Windows Mobile 6.1 phones. It builds on the core set of security and management features in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and complements the deployment, updating, and asset management capabilities of System Center Configuration Manager 2007. Q: What’s coming in the next version?

A: Microsoft announced the next version of Windows Mobile software, Windows Mobile 6.5, at the Mobile World Congress held February 16, 2009. This version is not yet available from mobile operators. Also included: an improved touch-screen interface that makes it easy to take action with a finger and an updated version of the latest Internet Explorer Mobile browser.
