Access MSN Hotmail and Windows Live Mail through Outlook Mobile

To configure Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile to access Windows Live Hotmail on your Windows Mobile 6 phone:
  • Click Start, and scroll to Messaging.
  • Click Menu, click Tools, and then click New Account.
  • Enter your e-mail address.
  • Select the Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet check box.
  • When the Auto Setup found settings screen appears, click Next to complete setup.

  • Click Accept.
  • Enter your user name and password.
    If you want your Windows Mobile 6 phone to save your password so you won’t have to enter it every time you want to check your mail, select the Save password check box.
  • Click Next.
  • Click Live Search bar and Windows Live Services if you want to access these features.
  • Click Next.
    Make sure that the Sync e-mail option is selected.
  • When the synchronization is complete, click Done.
To view your latest messages on your Windows Mobile 6 phone, click Menu, and then click Send/Receive.

Note
To access your Hotmail account through Office Outlook Mobile, the Windows Live application needs to be installed on your Windows Mobile phone. The application might be installed by your Windows Mobile phone manufacturer. To see if Windows Live is installed, click Start, and check for the Windows Live application logo.

If your Windows Mobile phone does not have the Windows Live application installed, you can download it on your Windows Mobile phone by going to the following URL on your phone’s Web browser: http://wl.windowsmobile.com.
