How to allow ActiveSync ports in McAfee Personal Firewall

Use the following steps to allow ActiveSync ports in McAfee Personal Firewall.
  • Start the McAfee Personal Firewall application.

  • In the main Window, click the Personal Firewall button in the left pane, and click View the Internet Applications List.

  • In the Internet Applications List window, click New Allowed Application.

  • Navigate in the explorer to the Microsoft ActiveSync installation folder (C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\ if installed in C drive with default settings).

    Add the following applications by highlighting the application and clicking Open:

    WCESMgr
    wcescomm
    rapimgr
    CEAPPMGR

    Note: You may need to return to this screen multiple times.

  • Please verify that the applications are now added to the Internet Applications list with Allow Full Access permission settings.

    Click the Utilities tab in the left pane.

  • In the Utilities screen, click the System Services icon.

  • In the System Services window, click Add.

  • In the Edit Port Configuration screen, make sure to set the following as shown:

    Program name = ActiveSync
    Incoming TCP/IP ports = 26675
    Outgoing TCP/IP ports = 26675

  • Please make sure that the port configuration just created is checked.

    Click OK.
