Step 1
Tap Start > Settings > Personal tab > Sounds & Notifications.
Step 2
Tap the Notifications tab.
Step 3
In the Event field, scroll to and tap Messaging: New text message.
Step 4
Select one or more of the following options:
- Play sound
- Display message on screen
- Flash light for
- Vibrate
Step 5
Select the settings that you want for each option.
Step 6
Tap OK.
