Step 1
Tap Start > Phone.
Step 2
Press, but do not hold, the assigned speed dial number on the keypad. The corresponding speed dial contact will display.
Notes
If you press and hold the speed dial number, the device will begin dialing the contact’s phone number.
Step 3
If more than one contact appears, scroll to the contact to which you want to send a text message.
Step 4
Tap Menu > Send Text Message.
Step 5
Scroll down and enter the message text.
Step 6
Tap Send.
