Tips for alarms
Applies to: Windows Mobile powered devices without touch screens.
Set an alarm
Do you need help waking up in the morning, or remembering an appointment? Use the alarms settings on your smartphone to remind you. Here's how:
Press
Start
and scroll to
Settings
. Press the
Center Joystick
to select
Settings
.
Scroll to
Clock & Alarm
and press the
Center Joystick
.
Under
Alarm time
, press the function key and enter the time you want the alarm to ring. (The function key has a half moon or dot on it.)
Scroll to
Alarm
and use the left and right joystick controls to toggle from Off to On.
Press the Done button to accept all your entries, and press the Home key to return to the Today screen.
That’s all there is to it. Your alarm is now set and will go off at the designated time.
Set an appointment reminder
When entering a new appointment on your Calendar, you can scroll down to the Reminder field to set an alarm to remind you of the appointment. Use the left and right joystick controls to choose how far in advance of the appointment you want the alarm to go off—anywhere from one minute before to one week before.
Choose alarm sounds
Under
Settings
, click
Sounds
to choose the sound you want. You can choose one sound for the Alarm Clock and a different one for Reminders—or use the same sound for both.
