The SAP SD benchmark, a key measure of real-world enterprise performance, simulates the maximum number of concurrent users a system can handle while maintaining acceptable response times. The SAP SD benchmark is one of the most CPU-consuming benchmarks in the industry, and has become the standard for SAP operating environment partners. The benchmark test includes 18 steps that reflect a defined set of business transactions. The SAP R/3 system uses a client/server architecture with database, application, and presentation layers.
