ENT News (May 18, 2004): Scott Bekker reports that Microsoft is starting a marketing campaign to single out the Internet Information Services 6.0 Web server component as a strong reason to upgrade to the server OS.

Microsoft PressPass (May 3, 2004): Windows Server 2003 customers attest to its strengths in reliability, availability and overall performance—and IIS 6.0 plays a key role.

Citing improved security features, including a "faster, more reliable and more secure" IIS 6.0, eWeek judges award top honors in the e-Business Foundation category to Windows Server 2003. They also recognized IIS 6.0 for its improved development platform.

Web Host Industry Review (March 26, 2004): IIS continues to run on over half of the top 1000 corporate Web sites, according to Port 80 Software's March Web server survey. For the second consecutive month, Microsoft IIS 6.0 on Windows Server 2003 made the largest jump of any single platform, gaining 0.7 percent of total market share after increasing by 0.8 percent in February.
