Certified for Windows Program—Participation Benefits

Published: October 9, 2002 | Updated: September 25, 2003

Microsoft works with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to ensure that their applications work well on Windows Server operating systems. ISVs can choose the Supported level of validation, or opt for a higher level through the Certified for Windows program. Certified applications—which are tested by an independent third party—give customers a high level of assurance that the applications they purchase provide high availability, reliability, security, and supportability on Windows Server operating systems.
