The following OEMs offer qualified server hardware running Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition. Visit the vendor Web site of your choice for more information, including purchasing options. Many of these OEMs also have offerings on the Windows 64-bit platform.

Fujitsu Siemens ComputersFujitsu Siemens Computers

Fujitsu Siemens Computers takes advantage of the strengths of its parent companies, Fujitsu Limited and Siemens AG, to offer world-class computer technology and innovative IT infrastructure solutions to customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. For Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition, Fujitsu Siemens Computers offers the PRIMERGY RX800, an eight-/16-way compute node featuring the latest Intel Xeon processor technology. The PRIMERGY RX800 Compute Node makes an ideal building block for implementing multiserver configurations (server farms) running distributed applications with load balancing (multitier) and, in combination with 19-inch rack technology, supports professional data center operations. For details about certified PRIMEGRY systems, see the PRIMERGY and Microsoft Enterprise Qualification Program page.

HPHP

HP has been successful in the datacenter business for the past 20 years and is a leader in customer deployments of Microsoft Datacenter Server worldwide. HP ProLiant was the key platform Microsoft used to develop, test, and deploy Windows 2000. The ProLiant 8-way has proven scalability, unmatched high-availability features, and an outstanding price-to-performance ratio in the high-end environment, providing the foundation for an adaptive infrastructure that scales to business needs for mission-critical deployments. With HP's 64-bit Itanium-based servers running Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition, customers can scale up and simplify IT environments by consolidating, clustering, or interoperating with ease.

IBMIBM

The IBM eServer xSeries team has already started joint testing with Microsoft. New features in Windows Server 2003 take advantage of the xSeries platform, such as NUMA support for the x440 and support of the new Intel Itanium 2 processor. Powered by IBM Enterprise X-Architecture technology, the x440 is a 4U rack-optimized, industry-standard server that supports up to 16-way processing by interconnecting two 440 chassis as a single 8U configuration with high-speed scalability cables. Up to 12 additional PCI-X expansion slots can be optionally added to this configuration through an RXE-100 Remote Expansion Enclosure, supporting tremendous I/O capability up to 24 PCI-X slots. The 64-bit Itanium 2 processor and the 16-way x440 target many commercial and technical applications, including business intelligence, databases, enterprise resource planning, supply chain management, and high-performance computing.

UnisysUnisys

The Unisys ES7000 family of servers leverages the advanced enterprise capabilities of the Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition, providing a foundation for global, high-volume electronic business computing. Based on the innovative Cellular MultiProcessing (CMP) server architecture, ES7000 servers have helped eliminate complexity in the data center for hundreds of clients. Designed for the power of both Intel Xeon processors MP (32-bit) and Itanium 2 (64-bit) processors, the ES7000 family of servers also provide support for partitioning, which enables administrators to create servers within a server so that multiple functions can be executed in heterogeneous operating environments within the same server. The ES7000 also features the flexibility to redefine and reallocate server resources, memory, processors, and I/O channels to meet changing e-business requirements.
