Overview

Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 with Service Pack 2 is the Windows Server 2003 component that helps organizations increase individual and team productivity by enabling them to create Web sites for information sharing and document collaboration.

Important This download is an updated version of Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 and contains all updates included in Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 2 (SP2). After installing this software you do not need to install the SP2 update. If you previously installed Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 and only need SP2, you can download Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 SP2 separately.

Installation Notes
  • Existing Web Applications – Windows SharePoint Services should not be installed on a server that is already running another Web application. Any pre-existing Web applications on the server will be disabled during installation. For information about running Windows SharePoint Services with another Web application, refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base Article KB823265.
  • IIS Security modifications – Windows SharePoint Services will disable Kerberos authentication in Internet Information Services on your server during installation. Windows NTLM authentication will be selected by default. For information about running Windows SharePoint Services using Kerberos authentication, refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base Article KB832769.
