Start of Chat

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: whens it starting then?A: Now! Feel free to ask your Windows Media Center questions....

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: It has gotten confusing with MCE now this year available from OEM. MCE has many components of XP Pro, but differences. Can MCE be 'upgrade installed to become XP Pro? How about MCE XP upgrades to Vista MCE? And will there be separate Vista MCE edition
A: Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 already includes many of the features of Windows XP Pro. It does not include domain joining or the credentials manager. As for Vista, Media Center will be included with Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista Ultimate.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I heard rumours that VISTA will be able to stream DIVX/XVID to the extenders soon, is that true?
A: Unfortunately, that's not a plan of record for Vista. Definitely something of interest in the community, that we know. But at this time, we don't have plans to support that codec.

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: What are upgrade paths from different MCEs if any? How will MCE editions be handled with respect to Vista by MSFT and by OEMs now making MCE *software?
A: Windows Vista Home Premium and Ultimate Editions will include Windows Media Center functionality. You will be able to upgrade from Windows XP Media Center Edition to either Home Premium or Ultimate. There are other upgrade scenarios that are valid as well. There is a complete upgrade matrix available at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/upgradeinfo.mspx.

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: What are upgrade paths from different MCEs if any? How will MCE editions be handled with respect to Vista by MSFT and by OEMs now making MCE *software?
A: One other thing I should add here - there is another upgrade option on Windows Vista called Anytime Upgrade. This feature allows you to upgrade from Windows Vista Home Basic to Home Premium or Ultimate via a Microsoft web site. This will allow you to easily add Windows Media Center functionality to your Windows Vista system if it did not come pre-installed with Home Premium or Ultimate.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Should I like Media Center?
A: I certainly hope so. ;-) If you haven't already experienced it, I'd encourage you to check it out at any local compuer or electronics retailer. Many Media Center PCs should be on display to check it out in person

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: will vista have a media centre
A: Windows Vista Home Premium and Ultimate Editions will include Windows Media Center functionality.

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: Why when you open a screen and try to 'right-click' print it prints the entire screen including the IE meu bars........
A: Thanks for your question, Unfortunately, none of our Experts here today have seen this issue. You may wish to post this question to the Internet Explorer newsgroup. A list of all Microsoft-hosted support newsgroups is here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/default.asp

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Is there a way to burn recorded content onto multiple DVD's from the UI. I am constantly recording shows longer than 2 hours and forced to manipulate the recording off line.
A: There is not a way to do that through Media Center. I did let the feature owner know of your request, however.

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Any more details emerging on Online Spotlight and Vista MCE?
A: There will be an updated version of Online Spotlight available when Windows Vista is launched. That is all of the details we are able to provide at this time.

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: When will you start answering the questions? :@
A: Hi, the answers to the questions will appear in the main chat window. Since we have mulitple people helping with the chat today the answers may not come in order.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Are there any details on DirecTV and DishNetwork support in Vista?
A: Native DirecTV is something we're working on now, but we don't have any specific announcements to make right now.

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: How easy is it to use MCE with 2 set top boxes? Is it a viable option? Or is it inconvenient? I would like your thoughts please.
A: This is definitely a viable option and one that many users are doing. Your IR receiver should have included an IR emitter (if you need to purchase another one, many electronics stores sell them) that you would attach to each of your set top boxes. When you setup TV on your Media Center, the wizard will help you setup your configuration.

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Does Microsoft have a editor for the dvr-ms files created by Media Center Will Vista Include such an needed Item
A: No, there is not a Microsoft-created tool for this purpose. There are 3rd party solutions that you might want to search for on the Web.

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Does Microsoft have a editor for the dvr-ms files created by Media Center Will Vista Include such an needed Item
A: My previous answer was for Windows XP Media Center Edition. In Windows Vista, MovieMaker supports editing dvr-ms files and the folks I've talked to have been really impressed with this functionality.

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: When is IE7 chat?
A: Currently the IE7 team does not have a chat scheduled. When they do, it will appear on http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/chats/default.mspx

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: ARE THERE ANY IE7 EXPERTS AROUND THAT COULD HELP ME?
A: This is a Media Center focused chat. Take a look on the Expert Zone for a schedule of future chats. I'm sure there will be an IE7 chat shortly.

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: what programin language you sugest to learn
A: If you are interested in developing applications for Windows Media Center, you can use any language that will run on top of the .NET Framework. Most applications I have seen are written in C# or Visual Basic.NET. You can check out http://msdn.microsoft.com/mce/ for more information about developing applications for Windows Media Center.

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: my friend was loked out of admin accoount by a virus and does not have cd to repair, how can he fix this
A: Your friend should first visit http://www.microsoft.com/virus for Microsoft's recommendations on removing a virus (he would probably want to do this from another computer). At the bottom of the page, he can find information on how to contact Microsoft about his situation.

Robert Schlabbach (Expert):
Q: I want to use Media Centre with Sky HD in the UK. How should I go about this?
A: The only way currently available is to use the analog SDTV output from your STB (if it has such) and record that in Media Center. There is no way to get European HDTV into Media Center as of now.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Does Vista have better support for LARGE mp3 libraries?
A: Yes, you'll be pleasantly impressed by how much faster it is with large libraries. I don't have specific performance numbers, but you should check it out yourself.

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: Where can we download transcripts of past Q&A chat sessions on MCE?
A: The Chat transcripts will be made available via http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/chats/transcripts/default.mspx.

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: when are we going to see cablecards (or equivalent solutions) to bypass cable/sat decoders? This is a HUGE drawback today for MCE sales.
A: CableCards will be available with new Media Center PC purchases after Windows Vista is released. This will allow you to view your high-definition content from your cable provider.

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: can media be used as a powerful gaming machine?
A: Windows Media Center runs as a part of Microsoft Windows. Anything you can do with Windows can be done on a system that has Windows Media Center.

Robert Schlabbach (Expert):
Q: Are you going to support handling 2 different input sources? E.G. I currently have a sat box and I use an antenna. The EPG can only be setup for one or the other.
A: Not in MCE 2005 nor in Windows Vista. But this is a feature which has been announced in the "TV beyond Vista" session at the last WinHEC.

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Hi, Any feedback on how long before two new UK channels get added to the EPG? Five US and Five Life both started at the weekend, but are absent in MCE. I raised an EPG issue form last week, and I know others have raised the form also.
A: The data provide usually takes anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months to complete user submitted changes. However if they're already aware of the new channels they may add them on their own and the changes will be made available more quickly.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Is there plans for CableCard to work with Satellite providers?
A: To date, CableCard is only been introduced for cable systems - not satellite. It's a technology introduced by Cable Labs. There may be similar technologies for satellite in the future - but I don't know of any now.

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Will MCE come up with an automatic way to compress TV Shows to WMV for better disc space management? I've been using dCut but it's not great and not tweakable
A: With Windows Vista, you can use Windows Movie Maker to accomplish this.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I've seen MSFT employees with MCE extender that let them fly around the country and possibly over seas about the size of a flask used at football games they say will get smaller that allows them to bring their Cable TV feeds with them wherever they travel. Will these be available soon? They function like the "shoe" that does this, but smaller?
A: I think you're referring to Portable Media Centers - which were a Windows Mobile device. You can transfer your TV shows to that device and then play them back anytime and anywhere.

Bryan Socha (Expert):
Q: Will Media Centre be optimised for blue ray or hd-Dvd or both. As a dual cpu will be needed with a compliant graphics card to view the new Hidefination quality
A: Blu-ray and HD-DVD support will be provided by third party vendors. They will have the best information on the hardware requirements.

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: I have a problem with my computer and it pops with the message: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME and I try to put it in safe mode and still comes up with that message.
A: The current topic for this chat is Windows XP Media Center Edition, so I am not sure if we can troubleshoot your issue with the Experts participating in this chat. I would post this question in one of the General Windows XP newsgroups. A list of all Microsoft-hosted support newsgroups is here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/default.asp

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I recently installed sp2 and a think it messed up MY tv in windows media center. I cannot whatch live tv and I do not get an error message. Just a black screen.
A: You can verify that your TV Tuner is supported by Update Rollup 2 by installing and running the Media Center Diagnostics tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ce06d6a7-de56-4d82-bf5f-6f6e1296a934&DisplayLang=en. You may also need to update your TV tuner drivers and try to re-run Media Center TV setup.

Robert Schlabbach (Expert):
Q: I recently installed sp2 and a think it messed up MY tv in windows media center. I cannot whatch live tv and I do not get an error message. Just a black screen.
A: Might be a display driver issue. Try updating your display drivers to the latest version available.

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: More origami pcs in the uk when?
A: Nothing has been announced at this time. The question also really isn't related to this chat. Best bet is to keep an eye out on various Microsoft employee blogs and Microsoft.com.

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: Transcript? When?
A: Typically with in one week of the chat. It appears that some of the transcripts are missing. I'll look into getting these posted again. Thanks for pointing this out.

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: ...regarding your answer with Windows Movie Maker (to compress), that's not a good solution, people have to exit the MCE interface and figure out how to compress things in Movie Maker right? I was looking for something like dCut.
A: There will not be UI within Media Center to do this. I will let the feature area owners know about your request, however.

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: How long will this chat last dudes?
A: This chat is scheduled for 1 hour and will be ending in about 30 minutes. Future chats are located on the Windows XP Expert Zone site calendar at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/chats/default.mspx

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: It would be great though if the shows were recorded directly into WMV, would save ALOT of space. Could a plugin do this?
A: The main thing needed to do this on the fly would be a WM Hardware Encoder to help accelerate the process and reduce CPU usage. We've got that already with DVR-MS in the form of MPEG-2 encoders. There's been some thought given to doing the recording in WMV but nothing has been announced at this time. It's obviously still on the minds of those people working on Media Center. At this point your best bet is an out of process encoding to WMV using WME or some other DVR-MS to WMV tool.

Robert Schlabbach (Expert):
Q: i am using a hauppauge nova t for digital tv in the uk but when i turn on mce i don't get tv signal until i change the channel a couple of times any idea? my signal is very strong i have a freeview box and it works great?
A: Sounds like a driver issue. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your Nova-T available from http://www.hauppauge.co.uk

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Is this chat room ever going to close?
A: The topic of this chat will change in time, but the chat room will be open.

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: hey anyone know how to fix this problem: My media center was working for a while then now everytime I access media files in media center it will pop up saying "specific cast not valid" the thing is I can access my media files in windows explorer, please
A: Have you installed any third party codec packs?

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: When will MCE be able to provide MCE interface-driven folder creation and simple file management tools. This is particularly important for managing pictures and the My Videos folder. Currently you need to go to the desktop and grab a keyboard.
A: No, this is something that's still a task for the traditional Windows desktop. The theory behind this is that 'management' of files is better done with a keyboard and mouse. With a remote (in MCE), these tasks become too cumbersome for most users.

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Aaron, why would i not get an error message? (question 43)
A: It is hard to say without knowing specifics about your configuration. Do you hear sound at all? It could also be a signal strength issue instead of one of the other things I previously suggested.

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: What is the recommended migration from MCE 2005 to Vista MCE? I would prefer not to upgrade my existing system, but rather do a clean Vista install and migrate content... Any way to do this with 600g worth of DVR-MS and MP3s?
A: Best bet would be to make sure your data is on a second partition or drive when doing the clean install. Since you have 600GB worth of data I'm going to assume you have at least 1GB of RAM so you should be safe there. Personally when I back things up for my migration I'll probably grab the entire Documents and Settings dir off the XP install and put it on my data drive with the rest of the DVR-MS and music. At which point I'll format the OS drive and install Vista. Once back up and running just point WMP/MCE to the data on the data drive.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: My MMC freezes on Live TV and I have to reset it the PC. What are some of the issues that could cause this? Let me state that I had a TRIAL codec from Nvdia and then purchased it. It was after this that I saw the freeze.. not sure this is the reason.
A: It may be your graphics card driver. What card is it and has it been updated with a new driver?

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: Mcafee today blocked 2 programs when I logged on. The programs are located in C:\WINDOWS\System32\...and are: isvcasim.exe and vnwgwtai.exe. My question is - Are these legitimate Microsoft programs or are they possibly viruses?
A: Unfortunately, none of our Experts here today have seen this issue. You may wish to post this question to the Windows XP newsgroup. A list of all Microsoft-hosted support newsgroups is here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/default.asp

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I heard the Sonic encoders are included in the OEM MCE2005 disc, but I installed it and didn't get the option to create a video DVD, only data. Can I legally download them from somewhere and install them?
A: Some OEMs include the Sonic encoders on their discs, but not all. If they include it, some only install a part of it and that may prevent access to the video DVD option. I would suggest searching for the file sonicencoders.msi on your OEM disc and manually install it, making sure to choose a "full" install.

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: the cable connection works fine on the test tv i placed next to my comp. sometimes it will play for 2 seconds and the picture will freeze and i cant change the chan. I have a m370n mce 2004.
A: This question would be better suited for the Media Center newsgroup.

Robert Schlabbach (Expert):
Q: Can I have 2 dual tuners d-sat for SkyTV UK?
A: MCE does not officially support DVB-S nor encrypted services. However, there are third party solutions to make DVB-S cards, and even the Common Interface work with MCE. However, if you try those, you're on your own because it is not officially supported. FWIW, DVB-S and CI support has been announced for a post-Vista upgrade in the "TV beyond Vista" presentation at the last WinHEC, too.

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: how stable is Windows Media Center Software Development Kit for Windows Vista Release Candidate 1
A: There will still be some changes in the SDK between RC1 and the final release, but this build of the SDK is very stable. The underlying APIs that are a part of Media Center have been locked down so if you start developing applications on RC1, you will not see breaking changes when migrating to the final release of Windows Vista.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: What is the best way to expand the capacity of an existing 500Gb MCE system? I currently have a single drive (500Gb), can I add a second 500Gb and have MCE now "overflow" into the new drive? What the best way to do this?
A: I think you're already 1/2 way there. Yes, add a 2nd hard drive to your PC. Windows should automatically notice it (after you format it, of course). What I would then do is reserve this new drive as your 'TV' drive for storing all your recorded TV files (these often take up the most space in any MCE system). You can do that in Settings > TV > Recorder > then pick the new drive

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: getting "specific cast not valid" in media center
A: Have you installed any third party codec packs?

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Q:56 - It's a Nvidia Inno3D AGP 6200 and has the latest drivers.
A: OK, next question is whether you've downloaded the latest MCE updates. Have you checked for these thru Windows Update?

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: i wanna learn to program in visual basics, is there a free development tool that can handle visual basics?
A: Yes! Visual Express Edition http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Have any of you seen video corruption (blue screen with white dots) when using 1080p resolutions in HDTV sets? ATI does not support 1080p with their drivers yet. But Nvidia does. I assume this is a problem with Nvidia drivers. But have you seen that?
A: I have not seen any video corruption with Windows Media Center for Vista. If you are seeing this issue, I would recommend updating your drivers to the latest from NVIDIA. Should you continue to see this issue, I would recommend you contact NVIDIA for support.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I haev seen the linksys screensaver, but i would like it after 5 minutes, not 20, is that possible to change?
A: No, unfortunately there isn't a way to change it to 5 minutes. But I don't think there's much of a risk of plasma burn in after only 5 minutes. so you should be OK still.

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: As I was recording Lost the langauge came back in Spanish? Mt default zip is in Englisg
A: This is typically caused by old tuner card drivers. I would recommend you upgrade to the latest tuner card drivers, typically found on the tuner card manufacturer's website.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Are there any good extenders in the market besides XBOX 360? Someone mentioned Linksys, but I thought that one had been discontinued.
A: There may be a few in market still...Linksys Extenders can be bought on Amazon.com. Link: http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-Dual-Band-Wireless-Extender-WMCE54AG/dp/B0002ZUZVW/sr=8-1/qid=1161283243/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-9478419-0883263?ie=UTF8

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: yea a good q people ask a lot is can you change the default language of xp
A: This chat is currently focused on Windows Media Center. Please ask this question again in the general Windows XP chat that will resume at the top of the hour.

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: i have some sort of off-topic question (IE 7): Is it possible to install IE7 on a non-english OS, without getting problems later?
A: Unfortunately, our experts on the call today are from the Media Center team and are not able to answer this question. I reccomend that you post this question in the Internet Explorer newsgroup which can be located at: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/default.asp

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Mark, thanks for the answer regarding redirecting the TV recording to the second drive. If I fill (no TV) the first drive can I now default all "My Documents" folders to my new 500Gb drive so any new pics or music or videos go on the new space?
A: Good question. But I don't think there's a way to automatically 'overflow' from one drive to another. At least not that I'm aware. I think you have to look at each drive distinctly.

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Hi all. We've got about 15 minutes left. Get those questions in!

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I hagve a MCE laptop in my office and obviously i cannot make it apart of my server 2003 by migaration (connectcomputer) is there a way around this???
A: If you mean joining your MCE laptop to the domain, this is not supported with MCE 2005. However, Windows Vista Ultimate will allow you to do this.

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Hi I am having a problem with ehrecvr.exe which I have found to be part of MCE. I researched on "the green button" but no one has had the same problem. It is continuously generating errors and writing dump files to my HD (every 9 sec) No live tv in MCE
A: It sounds like ehRecvr is crashing, and then something is trying to start it again and it just continues in a crash loop. In this type of scenario, I typically suggest that you make sure you have the latest hotfix for Media Center 2005 installed (currently, it is the one at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=22402573-97aa-41be-8090-2ae905802045&displaylang=en). If that doesn't help, you can try the steps listed at http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/02/17/534559.aspx to attempt to unregister and re-register this service and see if that helps resolve this issue.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Yes, I actually checked that first and have 0 updates at WU.
A: You're doing everything correctly then...Not sure what is going on. Does this happen with both Live and Recorded TV? And is there anything in the Event Log that stands out?

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Zap2It has recently updated the EPG by because they added 15 new channels to my lineup. However, MCE does not reflect the addition of these 15 channels. How do I update that in my EPG?
A: There's an option under the Guide Settings to let you download the Guide immediately. Another option is to just run through the Guide Setup Wizard once more which should refresh things for you.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I have a Media Center 2005 PC with ATI 650 HDTV tuner hooked up to OTA antenna. When I setup Media Center, it seemed to find both analog (NTSC) and digital (ATSC) channels, but displays on the analog channels - all the digital channels show "no signal".
A: It might be because your home is located in an area that's not conducive to receiving OTA signals...like in a valley or surrounded by other obstructions/buildings. Have you tried moving your antenna around?

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: Where can I get a txt copy after the chat?
A: The transcript for this chat will be posted within a week at Expert Zone Site http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/chats/transcripts/default.mspx

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: will MSFT be coming up soon with a better MCE keyboard? The thumb mouse requires some patience and learning to apply the right pressure.
A: Yes take a look on microsoft.com/hardware

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Why, as an MCE extender does Xbox 360 require a connection to Xbox Live?
A: This is only a requirement for the duration of the Windows Vista beta program. This will not be a requirement with the final/released build of Windows Vista.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Q72 - Only on Live TV. No, I didn't notice anything in the Event Log.
A: I would suggest then posting a notice in the MCE newsgroup for further analysis (more than what we can do here in the chat). Be sure to post all your computer specs.

Mark [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Related to th 500GB drive question - In future versions it would be nice to be able to store files on multiple drives. I've acidently fill my 500GB data drive and would like to specify additional storage locations instead of having files deleted.
A: Yes, definitely a good feature request. I'll take note of it.

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert): so your saying i have to purchase again another $1000 dollar software package because microsoft does not want to support there os's talking to one another on a single domain?
A: We do not support MCE 2005 joining a domain because most home environments do not have a domain. MCE 2005 is a consumer product. Windows Vista Ultimate will be reasonably priced with the feature set included. You should be able to upgrade to Vista Ultimate for $259, in the US.

Tyler Welch [MSFT] (Moderator):
Okay, we'll be ending the chat in 5 minutes. Last chance!

Aaron [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: hi i am running 2 mce computers is there anyway for the tv recording on one to show up the others recorded tv programs other than in my videos? both computers are networked
A: The steps at http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/116276.aspx might be helpful to you for this scenario.

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I love YOU!
A: You are too kind! We love you too! Thanks for being such great customers!

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I've seen all the fuss around DVD copying software but for personal use will MCE have a solution for transfering or copying verbatim a DVD into the library? Perhaps using DRM this can be acomplished?
A: Not in Vista from Microsoft. But there might be something in the future, nothing has been announced at this time.

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Regarding the new MCE keyboards. It looks like there are 2 models (7000 and 8000), is this correct? And they both come with a mouse which is useless to me. Is there a version without a mouse?
A: The only models that have been officially announced are on the hardware site.

Corey Gouker [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: can you tell me what tv tuner cards can be put in a m370n
A: You should be able to install any MCE compatible PCI tuner.

AndyVa [MSFT] (Expert):
Thanks everyone for coming! We'll be back next month, and as always, you can visit the Media Center newsgroups if you have questions before then!

Bryan Socha (Expert):
Its been fun.. Thanks for stopping by..
