Start of chat:

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: If a Vista or Win2008 user installs IE8 and then installs a Service Pack (e.g., SP2), can IE8 be uninstalled without having first uninstalled the Service Pack? cf. http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/05/05/ie-and-xpsp3.aspx
A: Yes. Windows Vista uses a different component technology that allows you to add and remove packages independently of service pack. XP used an older setup technology that didn't offer this capability.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Probably the most important question on my mind... do the experts know if future browsers will support the Canvas tag? Or has there been any experiments/work done from the development team with respect to the HTML5 Canvas?
A: Well, as you know, some browsers already support Canvas; there are a variety of plugins which aim to add Canvas support to IE7 and 8. We're definitely hearing feedback from the development community that they're interested in seeing canvas support in IE9, and there is at least one feature request filed in the Connect database.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I have tried to copy a demo dvd of my son's baseball video.....it copies correctly but will not play i get error that says the disc cannot be played in my region...the original disc plays fine???
A: Unfortunately, we can only really answer IE questions here in this chat; you'd probably be best off contacting support for the makers of your DVD drive and/or DVD copying software.

Travis [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Is the RSS Team still here and part of the IE Team? Their blog is no longer up-to-date: http://blogs.msdn.com/rssteam/
A: Yep, the RSS team is here and we will continue to support it moving forward. With IE8 we added a few improvements to the RSS platform, notably authentication (see http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2009/03/11/web-slice-and-feed-authentication-developer-guidelines.aspx). Sorry about the blog not being up to date...

Allison [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: There are some IE suggestions reported as bug in the Connect Site (especially those reopened). Will the IE Team review them as well when you are planning for the next version?
A: Yes, we will be reviewing the reports starting with the top rated submissions.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Are the Microsoft Experts aware any experiments/work done from the development team with respect to the HTML5 Canvas?
A: I'm not sure I understand your question. We're certainly tracking the progress of the HTML5 specification, and we're gathering feedback about what features developers are looking forward to in IE9. At this time, we have no announcements to make on this front.

mattcrow [msft] (Expert):
Q: So the IE development team is officially doing nothing except listening to users re: the Canvas at this time?
A: We're doing lots of stuff :)

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I got the dreaded "untitled.bmp save jpeg file issue last night, a week into using IE8 -I really thought this matter was addressed. Technical reasons aside, I do see it as a bug since the 4 other popular browsers don't have this issue. Will MS ever fix it?
A: As noted a few times on the blog and in prior chats, the majority of reasons for the "untitled.bmp" issue were resolved in IE7. The issue (where Trident cannot save images in their original format) could occur in ~8 different scenarios in IE6 and in IE7 it was reduced to about ~2 scenarios, including those where the server explicitly forbids caching of the file.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: IE 8 displays friendly HTTP error message even when the content length of the returned error page is 512 bytes. I have reported it as FeedbackID #448848. Will there be an update to fix it?
A: I'm not aware of any active issues in this space; please feel free to send me a screenshot and a network capture (ericlaw @ microsoft).

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: it seems that ever since I installed IE 8 my DEP settings won't allow me to print forms from remote sites. I've tried to change the settings, but nothing works, any suggestions
A: If you're seeing DEP/NX crashes when attempting to print, the root cause is almost certainly a buggy browser addon. Please see www.enhanceie.com/ie/troubleshoot.asp#crash for steps to troubleshoot problematic add-ons.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Any solutions yet for IE8's inability to show Explorer View from Sharepoint 2003?
A: Alun, I haven't seen a bug filed on this. Is there one on Connect? Or can you send me the details?

Ritika [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I have found that redirected Web Slice does not load stylesheets (FeedbackID #451976). This is quite unexpected. Does the Team notice the problem?
A: Yes, the IE team is looking into the problem and we will see what best solution/workaround we can provide

Travis [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: What are the top 2 issues currently being worked on by the IE Team for the first SP of IE 8?
A: Unlike Windows, IE doesn't release service packs; we release cumulative security updates bi-monthly. We always focus hard on Reliability and Security (but not necessarily in that order).

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I don't get drwtsn32.log dumps any more (in XPsp3.) Is there a specific reason for this? I am particularly interested in getting a reliable Stack Back Trace from crashes.
A: I don't think we deliberately took any changes here. Do you see dumps from other applications? If you turn off the Crash Recovery feature (tools/internet options/advanced) do they come back?

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Is "W3C Standards Compliance" an official goal of the IE team or can we expect IE to drift in a different direction to other user-agents?
A: The IE team is (and always has been) focused on delivering a great browser that satisfies users. Standards support is (and continues to be) an important part of that value.

Jacob [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Does the IE Team already have thought about dialogs / error pages that they will ameliorate for IE 9 ?
A: Ameliorate (nice word choice :) ). Enhancing user experience will surely be a part of our development process for IE9. Our goal would be to find the correct balance between security/functionality and a unobtrusive browsing experience. If you have any particular errors or dialogs that you find troubling, feel free to submit them on MS Connect.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: So, the next release of W3C additional support within IE will be for IE9 then??
A: I think you're asking if the IE team will be doing additional standards work for updates to older versions of IE (that have already shipped: e.g. 6/7/8)? If so, no, enhanced standards support is an area that we'll be looking at for future releases of IE.

mattcrow [msft] (Expert):
Q: When I visit a BBC iPlayer page in IE8, for instance http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00kmtcc, it prompts me to allow or disallow the "RealPlayer Scheduler" application - how can I permanently tell IE 8 not to bother, and not to load the app?
A: There is no way to do it, unfortunately.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Is it possible for Microsoft to make an "IE8.5" browser (that can do no change regarding to the the way the UI interacts with the mainframe, but that provides fixes for the most problematic issues of IE 8) ?
A: At the moment, we're most interested in getting solid feedback from the community on what those issues are.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Thanks Eric - I appreciate the answer, however when I then cut and pasted the direct URL of the image into a new window - saving it gave the same option. Nothing I tried - worked. Pasting the direct URL into Opera got me to save the image without issue.
A: Sure, and this may be expected if the server forbids caching. Feel free to send me mail (ericlaw @) containing your URL and I'll verify the cause is known.

mattcrow [msft] (Expert):
Hey, Fontman!

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Re: Q: [7] Actually I don't get crashes in IE, more in WLMail. I had completely forgot about crash recovery. So I should suggest users disable that if I want them to see a Stack Back Trace?
A: I'd suggest trying it yourself first to see if it makes a difference; I don't really know that it would.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: So, Eric, the answer to my question is "no". The IE team will not be planning or working on any addiional W3C standards support in IE8 at all. Is that correct?
A: The final version of IE8 for XP, Vista, and Server shipped in March. We do not add features to browsers that have already shipped.

Travis [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: CSS 3 is currently not ready to be out, but we've seen many interesting things in it, and many additional things (promoted by the WebKit team, most of the time). Does Microsoft consider the possibility to propose new things to CSS 3 (or 4) ?
A: While CSS3 as a whole is not "ready" as in "a W3C recommendation", parts of its many modules have begun to stabilize and are widely implemented in multiple browsers. As we begin to plan for the next version of IE, we'll certainly consider factors like utility of the feature, stability of the standard that contains it, popularity among actual web developers, etc. Without naming a specific feature, I think that some parts of CSS3 are being considered in our planning.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Re: Q: [26] So any suggestions for getting a reliable crash? <eg>
A: Send me mail offline and we'll talk?

mattcrow [msft] (Expert):
Q: Who will replace Chris Wilson for making meat donuts? ;)
A: Me

Jatinder Mann [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Do you have started to make plans for IE9? If so, can you share some general orientations (e.g. emphasis on js/dom/css/xhtml/svg/whatever)?
A: It is relatively early to discuss our IE9 plans at this time. Your feedback is always welcome!

Travis [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Why doesn't the RSS Platform allow publishers to redirect their feeds and web slices permanently? https://connect.microsoft.com/IE/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=442389
A: One of the reasons is so that front-end web servers can offload some of the traffic load that comes from RSS aggregators and IE's feed-sync engine.

Harel [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: Is zoom touch gesture supported in IE8 installed on Vista/XP?
A: Touch is a specific Windows 7 framework feature and thus is only available with IE8 on Windows 7.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Thanks for the response Eric. My question was around how much change I can expect from IE8 in the future. From a web developers perspective, the least amount of change the better, for regression testing purposes.
A: Generally, you should only expect reliability and security improvements to previously-shipped browser versions, for the reason you've identified-- it's important to keep a stable platform for developers to target.

Jacob [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Feature request for IE9: Please support the CSS "overflow" property for tbody elements. For example, view this demo in a recent version of Firefox, then in IE8: http://willpeavy.net/scrolling-table/
A: Thanks for the request! Improving standards support is a definite goal for us in IE9. This particular CSS attribute looks useful for tabular data. We'll look into it.

Helen [MSFT] (Expert):
@alcali - I responded to your question on our blog post - there's a link there to the Windows Touch Team's blog post that explains the new capabilities of Windows 7 touch a bit better.

Allison [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: @Jacob : I already have sent some feedback to the IE Team. I'll consider adding my suggestion to the Connect Group, but I've exams now, so it will wait at least 3 weeks to be done. Additionally, I need to gather my feedback in categories.
A: Great! Just as a heads up, on June 8th we will be removing the suggestion form. However, we will continue to accept bug reports through the Technical Beta Feedback Form and listening to comments on the IEBlog.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: @EricLaw : And when you'll have more feedback about that ? Will you consider this option ? (It's the sense of my question since I know it isn't the way the IE Team usually do, but things can change)
A: sorry, it's basically impossible to answer multipart questions like this. I don't know what option you're asking about.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Any news regarding MathML? Is it possible to get the PTLS team (who worked on Office math support) to get involved?
A: We don't have any news on this front.

Jatinder Mann [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I am in the process of starting an exercise to review some of our websites/applications for issues with IE8 using the IECTT. We're currently using IE6 and I was wondering if it is possible to say what the common issues are likely to be.
A: There are some 31 App Compat events/issues that the IECTT will help you log for IE8. For more information on the IECTT, read my blog post: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/09/23/application-compatibility-logging-in-ie8.aspx.

Harel [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: web slices are great, however I have my faves bar filled with about 15 links to sites I access very frequently throughout the day. With this in mind - I do not have space to add web slices. Will you look into expanding the faves bar to a dual line option?
A: We are investigating overall user interface real estate allocation and customization as part of IE Next planning. Thanks for the feedback! Glad you are enjoying Web Slices.

Jacob [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: @Jacob : I already have sent some feedback to the IE Team. I'll consider adding my suggestion to the Connect Group, but I've exams now, so it will wait at least 3 weeks to be done. Additionally, I need to gather my feedback in categories.
A: We will continue to monitor all feedback. So study for your exams first! Then, come back and let us know what you think! ;)

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Re Q: [28]: I mean 301 Redirect, not 302 or 307. The Platform doesn't update the stored feed address after receiving a 301 redirect. This may cause subscriber loss when the old path/site finally no longer exists.
A: This is definitely an area that was investigated during the development of the RSS platform. There are a number of security risks to providing such support, and ultimately it was decided not to update stored URLs as a result of 301.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I have noticed that when a background color is set on a link on :hover, and the link wraps due to page width, the background color extends only to the end of the line instead of the whole link. Is this a known bug?
A: Have you filed a bug with a test case demonstrating the problem?

Travis [MSFT] (Expert):
Gotta run. Thanks folks!

Jacob [MSFT] (Expert):
Bye Travis!

Harel [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: Is it right to assume, IE8 installed on Vista/XP will not respond to zoom touch gesture software such as N-Trig? which is used by HP TouchSmart TX2 model.
A: I am pretty sure that N-Trig for the most part maps touch gestures to keyboard and mouse events. For example, I believe N-trig maps the pinch zoom gesture to a mouse scrollwheel drag. Depending on the the configuration, the mapping may or may not work as expected. In Windows 7, developers have more control over the interpretation of touch gestures, which we leveraged on IE8 on Windows 7. I would give it a whirl if you have a chance :)

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I have a java based web application, which has loads of java script. It fails in IE8. Mean while I have inserted a compatibility tag. But I want to know how to I update my java script to be compliant with IE8
A: We'd need more information about what specifically fails; you may be able to use IE8's new script debugger to step through your code and be more precise. We've published a number of posts on the IEBlog about updating sites to be compatible with Web Standards.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Even if it's not a IE8 specific question: Do you plan to add a Web Slice on the IE Blog? This would be imo great :) But also it would be great for every blogs.msdn.com or technet.com blog!
A: We got that feature request on the blog a few days ago (did you add it?) and we've added it to the suggestions list. thanks!

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Re Q: [40]: Many other feed readers do update the stored feed URLs. Can the Platform prompt the user and ask if they want to update the feed URLs after a 301 response is received? This seems to remove the security risks.
A: There are many different options that we explored; ultimately we elected not to support this in IE7 and IE8.

Ritika [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: web slices are great, however I have my faves bar filled with about 15 links to sites I access very frequently throughout the day. With this in mind - I do not have space to add web slices. Will you look into expanding the faves bar to a dual line option?
A: Also, for now you can create folders on your favorites bar and organize your web slices and favorites nicely!

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: @EricLaw : Sorry, I was too imprecise in my question : I wanted to say "When you'll have gathered enough feedback about these "major" issues, will you consider the "Publish IE8.5" option or not ?"
A: IE doesn't make product release announcements during monthly chats. Obviously, we're focused on delivering a great web platform for our users.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Many in the web standards movement, such as Eric Meyer, are dissatisfied with the glacial pace of the W3C and are calling on browser makers to implement solutions independently. Is IE ready to boldly innovate, once again?
A: There's obviously a delicate balance between bold innovation (e.g. see the many proprietary features of IE5) and standards support. The Internet Explorer team works with standards bodies, other browser makers, and web developers to deliver the best browser we can.

Allison [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: @Alison : I never read this date (8th June) before... It's a very short time interval. I'll do my best. In the case I can't do what I want before, be sure I'll publish some comments in the IE Blog. BTW, why 8th June ?
A: There is an announcement on the Technical Beta homepage on Microsoft Connect. As for the date, it allows us to gather initial feedback from the tech beta community. It’s unrelated to our overall schedule.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Re:[13] IE8 / Sharepoint Explorer View incompatibility - this isn't a bug in IE, it's a result of banning Basic Auth over non-SSL. Sorry to trouble you - maybe it could be documented a little better?
A: Ah, interesting. This feature and the associated documentation are owned by another team at Microsoft. Clearly, for security reasons, moving to SSL or non-Basic authentication is the best route forward.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: This bombs the browser. Inline javascript works fine. Its not the javascript in the include. Any old javascript referenced that way bombs the browser. Freezes it. Everything works just as it shoud in Firefox, Chrome, Etc...
A: If you tried to paste code into the chat tool, I believe it was stripped. Feel free to send me a repro (ericlaw at microsoft).

Matt H [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I've been finding more uses for the Developer Tools (F12 feature). Is there a blog or tutorial about that feature I could review?
A: Robert - we've got a blog post at http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/03/07/improved-productivity-through-internet-explorer-8-developer-tools.aspx, and there is a short overview video you can review at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/dd638463.aspx

mattcrow [msft] (Expert):
Q: Has the IE team been touched by the job cuts at Microsoft?
A: Nope... we're all still here... got to have someone to do the monthly chats :)

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Has the IE team been touched by the job cuts at Microsoft?
A: We generally don't comment about internal staffing changes. Suffice it to say, we've got a great and growing team and we're excited to be working on finishing up IE8 on Win7, and taking feedback and moving into development of IENext.

Helen [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: The red X on the URL dropdown menu -can it be moved to the left of the URLs, the space underneath the favicon? I am accidentally deleting URLs when trying to click & launch because the red X is right below the drop down arrow. Not happy about its position!
A: Thanks for this suggestion. We've definitely heard this request before so it is on our radar to consider for future versions.

Allison [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Will there be an independent forum - or avenue of communication, at least - for IE9 feature requests or will they still remain lumped together with the other stuff on Connect and the groups?
A: We currently have an IE Improvements form on Microsoft Connect, we are also always listening to comments on the IE Blog.

Allison [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: How often the IE Team review the reports on the Connect site?
A: The IE Team will be monitoring our submissions throughout our product cycle.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: (Sorry, I've still a question that wasn't really answered : Will the IE Team *propose* new property (or property values) to CSS/HTML (as the WebKit team have already done lot of time recently) ?
A: The IE team is working with standards bodies and makes recommendations for changes or additions as needed. We engaged on HTML5 features during the IE8 timeframe and I have every reason to believe we will continue to do so.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: What do you expect to be the biggest roadblock for businesses wanting to roll out IE8?
A: In many organizations, IE8 will be a trivial deployment. However, some organizations may have a huge number of web applications that they will want to test for compatibility before rolling out. While IE8 offers many features (e.g. CompatView) which should make this relatively painless, the sheer number of sites to review sometimes proves daunting for large organizations.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: There is more pressing needs, but have you considered enabling a way to use OpenType features in IE (the kind of stuff with ligature, alternates, swashes that was demonstrated for text rendering in WPF and DirectWrite)?
A: We're always interested in providing a great reading experience within IE. Typography is one element of that; there are several others.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Will the IE Team write a blog saying that IE 8 on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 support TLS 1.2? The Opera folks have done so: http://my.opera.com/core/blog/2009/02/25/new-in-opera-presto-2-2-tls-1-2-support
A: It's a fine suggestion, thanks.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Why does the SSL layer disable some supported algorithms (e.g. ECDSA-P521 in Win7) by default? Are there some servers out there that support one standard elliptic curve but not another?
A: The default ciphers are selected for security, performance, and compatibility. I don't know the answer for that specific cipher, but it's likely one of these three reasons.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: By the way, does the Windows RSS Platform in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 support TLS 1.2 as well? (If TLS 1.2 is enabled in Internet Options)
A: I believe so. TLS support is provided by the base networking stack, and I believe that WinHTTP (used by the RSS engine) was updated as was WinINET (used by IE).

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: You say the IE team are doing "Lots of stuff" re: the Canvas, what sort of stuff?
A: We're currently finishing up IE8 on Win7, and working to deliver a IE.Next release that will delight both web developers and normal users. Obviously, we're very interested in feature requests and learning about any pain points with IE8.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Is cryptographic performance really an issue for SSL in real world configurations? Doesn't the network delays dominate any other perf limitation?
A: In today's world, performance is always an issue. In the case of HTTPS, there are myriad considerations, including whether or not a given algorithm provides both better performance AND security than some other algorithm. You'd be correct to not that in general, the cipher is never the weak point in the HTTPS security infrastructure.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: IE.Next... is this a pre-IE9 version of IE?
A: We often use the term "IE.Next" to refer to a future browser version. That tradition continues here.

Matt H [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: IE.Next, eh? That's what IE9 is being called?
A: We've not made any announcements about the name of any future IE releases. IE Next is our standard working name.

Harel [MSFT] (Moderator):
Q: Little suggestion ; It would be great to modify the way the filter property is applied because currently it disable the ClearType on text. It would also be great to have a "-ms-text-filter" that apply only on text of the element.
A: Thanks for the suggestion! There are certain cases where filters do not affect ClearType. Can you be a little more specific about which filter you are talking about?

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: From left field: Has there been any consideration of creating a cross--platform environment with IE at the core as Adobe has done with AIR and Webkit?
A: We consider all sorts of things, but thus far this hasn't been a common request from our users and developers.

Ritika [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Are I'm the only who encounter an error, when I try to repleace an existing RSS-Feed? Imagine you have IEBlog as RSS-Feed in IE8. Then try to add again IEBlog to your Feeds and then you'll get an error message.
A: What error do you see?

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Another question : Each OS have a different version of IE. It certainly have advantages, but inconvenients too : decupled dev time, inconsistencies between OS, difficulty to target old OS... Will you consider making IE fully independent of the OS aftr Win7
A: Internet Explorer often takes advantage of platform improvements (e.g. TLSv1.2, v1.1 in Win7; TLS-Extensions in Vista, etc) that necessitates building enhanced versions for newer OS platforms. From a code perspective, the vast majority of code is constant across platforms.

mattcrow [msft] (Expert):
Q: Can the IE Team publish a KB document listing the currently known IE 8 non-security issues?
A: Connect is the best place for this; we don't have a process for exposing internally found bugs yet until they're fixed.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: @Harel : All filters affect ClearType on text. Even non-visible filters (100% opacity, ...), at least all I ever used.
A: The undesirable interaction between filters and ClearType is well understood by our development team, and it's certainly an area that we know causes some developer pain. Of course, in many cases, Filters are being used to emulate CSS constructs (e.g. opacity) and we've had a lot of requests to implement those CSS constructs.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I want to second the same question mention earlier by #57; I think the red X is a great addition and should be located below the favican, is there away to turn the red x off? It is really getting to me by me deleting the addresses in the list.
A: Thanks for the suggestion; we've seen this from a number of folks.

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: (suggestion for the chat: it would be great to have more characters to write our questions. It leads sometimes to incomplete questions...)
A: thanks.

Matt H [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: IE.Next - sounds like you're planning to break out of the box a little. It's about time.
A: Dean's blog post should be answer enough on sense of humor about IE naming...http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2007/12/05/internet-explorer-8.aspx

EricLaw [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: @Eric: I had heard that IE is closely linked to Win Explorer (we can embed WinExp in a WebBrowser Control, at least). And WinExp is updated on each OS.
A: As of IE7, the "links" are much looser than ever before. As both IE and Explorer are COM objects, they can interact, but the relationship between Explorer and IE changed significantly in IE7.

Ritika [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: I get "The feed is already available in this folder. [OK]"
A: Ideally, you should not see this error. Looks like there is an orphaned feed lying around in your feeds cache. Did you delete/unsubscribe in some way before you re-subscribed? Try clearing your TIF using Delete browsing history and that should clean up your orphaned feeds

Daniel (Moderator):
Well we're already out of time for today's chat. Thank you very much to all of our guests who joined us today as well as to our Experts for answering questions. The next IE8 chat is scheduled here (June 18th): http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/chats/default.mspx

Allison [MSFT] (Expert):
Q: Thanks for this chat. It was great, as usual.
A: You’re welcome:) Thanks for attending.
