 | WINNER MusicAndre Isom Benton Harbor, Michigan |
Andre Isom has been passionate about music since he was a child. He always dreamed about becoming a music producer, artist, and engineer, but those dreams seemed beyond his budget until he saw people using PCs running Windows to produce, compose, and arrange music. Andre now runs his own music studio and production company, Trac-Head Productionz, where he uses Windows XP and programs such as Propellerhead Reason, Steinberg Nuendo, and Steinberg WaveLab to lay tracks, record vocals, and master his music. Andre’s use of technology has also carried over to his job as a radio DJ, where he runs his weekly gospel show, “BiGgDrE'z Inspirations,” from his laptop, using Windows Media Player. Andre is also sharing his love of music with others in his community, using his Windows-based studio to produce several local hip-hop, gospel and R&B artists. As he works to complete his first album, Andre relies on Windows-based technology to help make his music dreams come true.
"People come to my studio and they ask, 'Where's all the big equipment?' and I say, 'It’s in the computer. Everything I need is on my PC.'"
