It's easy to have room-to-room entertainment throughout your home with a PC running Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and Xbox 360. All you need are a few components to get things started:
- A PC running Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
- An Xbox 360 with the Xbox 360 Wireless Media Adapter
- A wired or wireless (preferably 802.11a) home network
- A broadband Internet connection

| Note: When connecting your Xbox 360 to your wireless home network, you'll need to enter your security password information into the Xbox 360 console so the network can recognize it (you are running a secure wireless network aren't you?). Navigate to Network Settings in the System section of the Xbox 360 dashboard. Select the Edit Settings option, scroll down and choose Wireless Mode. Then you can enter the information for your secure wireless network. You'll need to do this before beginning the connection process. |
With your code in hand and sitting at your Media Center PC, log onto the Xbox 360 PC setup site at www.xbox.com/pcsetup and then follow the on-screen instructions.
This setup process will ensure that you have Update Rollup 2 installed on your Media Center PC and then take you through a simple step-by-step path that will complete your Media Center PC connection to your Xbox 360.
