Convert your photos to black and white

Converting color photos to black and white can create a powerful effect. Black and white photos can help depict a mood or an attitude, and can lend a look of classic elegance to your photography. This technique is impressive regardless of the subject.

Using digital photo-editing software, such as Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006, will give you great results when you turn your color images to black and white.

Let's take a look at how easy the process is and how great the results look using Digital Image Suite 2006.

Before beginning any work on a photo, make a copy first, and then do all of your work on the copy.

Creating black and white photos

1.

In Digital Image Suite 2006 Editor, on the File menu, click Open.

Locate and select the photo that you want to change to black and white, and then click OK.

On the Common Tasks lists, click the Effects arrow, and then click Black and White.

On the File menu, click Save to complete the process and save your changes.
