Remove red eye with Digital Image Suite 2006

We've all had the experience of a perfect picture being ruined by red eye. Fortunately, you can fix this problem using a digital image editing software, such as Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006. Let's take a look at how you can easily fix the red eye in your photos using this program.

Note

Before beginning any work on a photo, make a copy first, and then do all of your work on the copy.

Remove the red eye

1.

In Digital Image Suite 2006 Editor, on the File menu, click Open. Select the photo that you want to which you want to remove red eye, and then click Open.

On the Common Tasks list, click the Touchup menu arrow, and then click Fix Red Eye.

Zoom in on the eyes in your photo using the Zoom slider.

Move the target pointer (your cursor) to the center of the red spot on each eye, and click.

On the Fix Red Eye menu, click Fix selected red eyes.

If any red eye remains, click each eye again, and use the Intensity of correction and Size of correction sliders to adjust your selection. Click Fix selected red eyes again to apply the change.

The Intensity of correction slider controls the darkness of the adjustment to the eyes, and the Size of correction slider controls the diameter of the adjustment area.

When you have your desired result, click Done to complete the process. On the File menu, click Save. Your red eye removal is complete.

icoTipTip: If you want to start over during the process, click the Reset button at the bottom of the Fix Red Eye menu.
