Use the stored credentials feature in Windows XP Professional to automatically access resources in your network in which you use a different user name and password. This tip applies to members of a domain.
1. | Click Start, then Control Panel, and then click User Accounts. |
2. | Click the Advanced tab, and in Passwords and .NET Passports, click Manage Passwords. |
3. | Click Add, and enter the computer name, user name, and password for the system you wish to access. |
Now you will not need to log off and on to enter multiple user names and passwords when accessing systems in which you do not use the same credentials.
You must be a member of the Administrators group to complete this procedure.
