How do I change visualizations in Windows Media Player?
Published: November 9, 2005
You can customize your Windows Media Player by changing the visualizations. Visualizations are shapes and colors that change with the beat of the music that is playing in Windows Media Player.
Windows Media Player offers a lot of visualizations to choose from. If you'd like to find additional visualizations, go to WMPlugins.com.
If you have Windows Media Player 9 Series or later, you can change to a different visualization by doing the following:
1. | Play an audio file. Click the Library tab and then double-click on a song to play it.
 |
2. | Click the Now Playing tab.
 |
3. | Right-click the Video and Visualization pane (the area where videos and visualizations appear) or the Info Center View pane (the area where detailed media information appears), point to a visualization collection (such as Ambience), and then click the visualization that you want to use.
You can also select the Now Playing Options button, then select Visualizations, then select a visualization collection, and click on the visualization you want to use.

The new visualization will appear when you click on it.
