Steps to Enable UPnP for Netgear MR814:

1.

Set up your router in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, and reset all defaults.

2.

Connect your computer's network cable directly to one of the LAN Ports on the router, or connect to the router wirelessly.

3.

Open your browser, and in the Address bar, type the following default IP address for the MR814 router: http://192.168.0.1

When you are finished typing the IP address (see the preceding illustration), press ENTER to establish a connection.

5.

After the connection is established, you will be prompted to enter your user name and password (see the following illustration).

In the User name box, type admin

Click OK to go to the Setup Wizard page (see the following illustration).

9.

On the Setup Wizard page, scroll down until you see the Advanced category (located in the bottom-left corner of the Setup Wizard page).

10.

Under Advanced, click the UPnP link to enable voice/video conversations.

On the UPnP page, select the Turn UPnP On check box and then click Apply to save the change (see the following illustration).

A status screen (as shown in the following illustration) appears to indicate that your router is now UPnP enabled and that your settings are being updated.

Your router is now ready to enable voice/video conversations with Windows Messenger!
