The Microsoft "Xbox 360: Zero Hour" Sweepstakes

1. Eligibility / Entry Period:
Open to Xbox fans worldwide who are 18 years or older, however residents of the following countries are ineligible to win prizes: Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria. Employees of Microsoft Corporation and any person engaged to work on this promotional program and their respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, promotion, advertising and promotional agencies and each of their immediate family members (including mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband or wife) and those living in their households are not eligible to enter or win.

The challenge signups will occur at random times between 12:01 AM PT on November 10, 2005 and 11:59 PM PT on November 10, 2005 (“Entry Period”). Once a signup form is open and available, it will accept entries until closing at 11:59 PM PT on November 10, 2005. The challenge consists of an incentive offer and a sweepstakes drawing.

2. How To Enter:
No purchase Necessary. Void where prohibited by law. To enter online, visit the challenge website and complete the registration form to enter. Limit one (1) entry per person and email address. Subsequent entries from the same individual or email address will be automatically disqualified. The use of automated devices to enter Sweepstakes is prohibited. No responsibility is assumed by Microsoft for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, postage due or illegible entries or any computer, online telephone, or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of Microsoft and will not be returned.

3. Winner Selection/Prizes:
On or around November 11, the first 360 eligible entries registered will automatically receive an invitation for two to attend the Microsoft sponsored "Xbox 360: Zero Hour" event in Southern California. The remaining entries will be entered into a random drawing and 1140 winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received to also win an invitation for two to attend the event. Actual city to be announced on November 12th. Tickets are not available for general purchase and have no cash redemption value. The prize consists of 2 event Tickets. Guest Winner and guest must be over 18 to attend. Winner is solely responsible for any expenses not explicitly listed, including but not limited to travel and lodging.

If a winner cannot or will not accept a prize, then prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. If "Xbox 360: Zero Hour" is canceled, for any reason, the sweepstakes sponsor shall have no further obligation to the winner. Random drawing will be conducted under the supervision of Microsoft, whose decisions are final. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

4. General Conditions:
Sweepstakes entrants agree to abide by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of Microsoft which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winner will be notified via email by Monday November 14th. Once notified, each winner has 24 hours to respond via email. Return of any prize/ prize notification as undeliverable or failure to accept prize within the specified time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Entrants further grant to Microsoft the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print in any other media in connection with the Sweepstakes. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Microsoft to use winner's names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Microsoft, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or any prize won.

5. Internet:
If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Microsoft which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Microsoft reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes. In any such event, Microsoft, at its discretion, will select the winner(s) from eligible non-suspect entries received prior to the event requiring such termination, suspension or cancellation. Microsoft assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Microsoft is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Microsoft on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Entries made by Internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
